POWER OF JOBS
Want a job, a better job, a new career?
Or free training in job skills, or an apprenticeship?
Or free assistance in preparing for your job hunt?
Power of Jobs is a non-profit organization that provides information you can use to make it happen.

OUR MISSION

Power of Jobs is dedicated to helping residents of Boston find a good job or get on the path to a good job. Our special focus is on communities of color, youth, and returning citizens.
We carry out our mission by maintaining a website that provides a guide to the wide array of locally available free job-related services: places that can help you find a job today, alerts to upcoming job fairs, organizations providing apprenticeships, job skills training, and job prep services
including career coaching, job search support and certifications. All of these are focused on helping people secure good jobs in a range of industries and trades, as well as in city, state or federal organizations. There are more than 100 outstanding organizations providing these services. The Power of Jobs website summarizes them in a single guide
so that it is easy for you to identify and connect with the organization or program that works best for you.
We also have broader goals: reducing poverty, building wealth, fighting racism, and strengthening community. We believe jobs are fundamental to achieving these goals. And that is why our organization’s name is Power of Jobs.
Why jobs
Jobs have a distinctive power to build personal wealth and dignity, build a family, build community, build a business, and give the next generation a head start.
